Please ensure you read our terms before using our services. By using our services, you are agreeing to these terms. They tell you the rules for using our services, your rights and responsibilities and what you can expect from Renovate Today.

Our services include: Enquiries, Estimates, Project Work, Installations, Repairs, Emergency Call Outs, Servicing, Guarantees.

1. INSTALLATION WORK:

a) All electrical installation work will comply with applicable Building Regulations in force at the time of the works.

b) Where work is to extend or modify existing circuits, costs quoted assume that the existing installation is in adequate condition and complies with minimum current regulations. Any works found required to bring the necessary parts of the existing installation up to standard will be at additional cost.c) Unless stated otherwise, all cables will be concealed by chasing into the building fabric or concealed in building voids, under floors, etc. Where impracticable, cabling will be neatly surface run, either clipping direct or housed in trucking / conduit.

d) Where carpet or flooring coverings may require lifting to allow concealed installation work, no charge is made for this service, with best endeavors being made to avoid damaging them and to refit them to an acceptable standard. However, consideration of employing a specialist fitter may be prudent, at your cost to affect a fully satisfactory reinstatement.

e) Where agreed beforehand and extra charge, chases to walls, will be re-filled to 2mm below plaster finish depth, however final finishing of skim coat plaster and final decoration is excluded.

f) All endeavors will be made to undertake installation work to a clean standard, using dustsheets and vacuum cleaning equipment as necessary. However, dust is inevitable.

g) The contract /quote outlines the expected duration of the installation work.

h) Whilst undertaking the installation work at the property, the client is requested to provide us with water and power free of charge.

i) For full property rewires the property must be vacated and we do not accept responsibility for furniture left within the property.

2. EXCLUSIONS:

a) Clearing and/or moving of any furniture and other household items blocking access to work areas are not included. If you require any assistance with this, you need to book this service on our website.
b) Re-decoration and final making good is not included into the quoted cost.

c) Removal from site and disposal of rubble, fittings, wiring, materials, general waste and packaging is not included. However, this can be provided at extra cost. Please book this service if needed.

3. EXTRAS AND VARIATIONS:
a) All extras and variations must be agreed in writing prior to the commencement of work.

4. PRICING:

a) The costs quoted assume continuous and unhindered access to the site by prior arrangement with you.

b) The customer continues to grant and facilitate the agreed and necessary access to the premises being worked on if the originally stipulated duration of the contracted works is to remain valid.

c) Any additional work not covered in our quoted costs will attract additional time plus materials cost.

d) All figures quoted for materials are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

e) All figures quoted are valid for a date of 30 days from the date of the estimate or quotation.

f) If you need to cancel (or rearrange) your booking, you must notify us (preferably by telephone) 72 hours before the scheduled booking. Cancellations made further in advance should also be made by telephone, and you should request written confirmation from us, so that you are not liable to be charged.

5. RISK AND TITLE OF GOODS AND PROPERTY:

a) The risk in all goods supplied shall pass to the client upon delivery.

b) All goods supplied shall remain the property of RToday Limited until all sums due have been paid in full.

c) The client is responsible for ensuring that the property is insured for the duration of the installation work.

6. WARRANTEE:

a) RToday Limited warrants its installation work to be defect free for a period of twelve months from invoice date. Such cover does not extend to goods not supplied by RToday Limited, physical damage to products, or any instance where the original installation has been altered or tampered with subsequently by third parties.

7. PAYMENT:

a) Unless agreed in writing payment in full must be made on completion of the specified works to RToday Limited.

b) Unless agreed in writing, the maximum credit limit will be £500 per customer. Therefore, all work over £500 will require a deposit as shown on your quote, payable at the time of confirming the booking. If this figure is not quoted, then the default deposit will be 30%. In addition, (where work is more than one day of work) daily payments will be required to pay the fully completed individual items, as specified by each line item of the quote.

c) Where projects involve separate first and second fix works, part payment may be due on completion of first fix.

d) In the event of any non-payment RToday Limited reserve the right to withhold any certificates for work carried out until such payments are made.

e) Late payments will be passed on to a debt collection company. If this occurs then you will also be liable to pay interest charges, plus the debt collection companies charges and any legal fees incurred (for example solicitors letters and courts fees)

f) We reserve the right to stop or postpone work if payment is not made on time and credit limit is exceeded. This also includes cancellation or postponement if a deposit is not paid and cleared into our account in time.

8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION:

a) In the event of a dispute, mediation is to be the preferred method of resolution.

b) Payment for full contract amount to be paid within 5 working days of completion regardless of any unresolved disputes, otherwise subject to 8%APR until paid in full.

c) Where we use sub-contractors to complete tasks out of our description we do so in good faith. However, any problems that require a resolution will need to be done so with them directly. We do not guarantee the work of others.

d) In the unlikely event of a complaint, any remedial works will be undertaken by RToday Limited employees or selected subcontractors. We do not pay for others to complete such tasks.

9. PHOTOGRAPHS:

a) We reserve the right to take photographs and video of completed works for our records and for use in our portfolio unless requested in writing prior to commencement not to.
